It is an honor to welcome all the participants and speakers to this 2027 pre-symposium workshop on Psychosexual Therapies for Sexual Dysfunction and the 2025 International Symposium on Sexuality and Gender for Mental Health (ISSGMH). This scientific event will be held in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia. The objective of this workshop and symposium is to share, learn, and enrich the current knowledge and “art to do” for the treatment of psychosexual problems among male and female patients, which encompasses addressing sexual issues like vaginismus, gender orientation, mental health and sexuality, sexual addiction, male and female sexual dysfunctions. During the workshop training, the expert will be participating in an interactive session with the audience in sharing new novel techniques of psychosexual therapy, which are much needed by medical health professionals (doctors, mental health nurses), counselors, psychologists, clinicians, and academicians in their day-to-day practice.
With eminent speakers from Japan, Indonesia, Brunei Darussalam, and Malaysia attending this scientific event, it will be an exciting platform for us to deliver the objectives of our workshop and the management of patients with sexual difficulties. An interesting new topic, such as “sexual pleasure training” in psychosexual therapy, is a highlight of this meeting, besides learning tips for handling couples with issues of fidelity. A step-by-step technique for treating vaginismus would be delivered by an expert from Bandung, Indonesia, teamed with the clinicians from Hospital Limijati, Bandung, and other experts.
We welcome you all to the workshop and hope you all will have a great time. Thank you.
